FIERY STREETS OF LONDON COLLAGE
A Year 2 class created this fiery streets of London collage which I think is pretty effective!
I gave the children long strips of white cartridge paper and lots of pieces of scrap paper, old gift cards and pages ripped from magazines. Their first job was to select the colours that they would need to create the fiery flames.
Once this was done, they proceeded to cut lots of flame shapes and stick them, overlapping, onto their strips of plain paper.
Once the flames were complete, they went on to cut lots of thin strips of black paper with which they went on to create the Tudor style houses that existed in Pudding Lane at the time of the Great Fire.
