Block Printing

These children cut out shapes from polyboard and added detail by carefully drawing lines with a pencil.

The polyboard shapes were then glued onto wooden blocks.

Once dry, the children painted block printing ink onto the shape and then printed onto fabric.  If you use a brush to apply the ink it gives more even results.

Further detail can then be added using brushes and other mark making tools.
