A group of children, from Reception to Year 5, created this woven teepee for Den Day.
They decorated bamboo canes by tying and wrapping ribbons and wool around them. Younger children used pipe cleaners too, or older pupils helped them to tie the ribbons together.
Meanwhile, others ripped up strips of brightly coloured fabric and tied them together. These were then woven in and out of the canes to complete the teepee’s structure.
After the event, I put the teepee in my book corner and it was extremely popular as a place to go and read.
